When creating a lighting design, we start with the light, only filling it in with fixtures later. Where is what light needed? And how can we achieve this? We use sketches, light calculations and practical tests to arrive at an optimal design and take you through the process step by step. In this way we realize a lighting plan that leaves nothing to be desired and does your home, store or office building justice.

Step 1 - the intake

Of course we start listing your wishes. What did the architect want to create and how can our lighting enhance this? How will the space be used and what are the possibilities for lighting? What colors and materials will be used, and how should the lighting fit in? ;

Step 2 - the lighting design

Using sketches and reference images, we put our ideas on paper as best we can. The function of light is still central here, each project has its own challenges. In a clothing store each item demands attention and the colors must sparkle (see 'retail') and in a hotellobby the reception desk must be clearly distinguished from the bar, just to name a few examples (see 'hospitality'). 

Step 3 - the lighting plan

A concept lighting design is converted into a lighting plan by naming all the fixtures and giving them a place. To determine this we do lighting calculations and practical tests. This results in a drawing of the lighting plan and a book of fixtures. This contains pictures and specifications of all proposed fixtures. If the situation requires it, we make adjustments to existing fixtures or develop custom fixtures for your project.

Step 4 - the realization

Naturally, we are happy to offer the proposed fixtures in a quotation. When we will be chosen to supply the goods, you have the advantage of our guidance with knowledge of the design and lighting requirements.
