Restaurant Kruydt

Description

Restaurant Kruydt in Delft; a beautiful project in cooperation with and at the idea of Woodfever.

Once this was the Artillery Barracks of Delft. The characteristic building was built in 1671 on an estate where a monastery stood. In the following centuries it was rebuilt and rebuilt and used by the Ministry of Defence until 1927. An investor cast his eye on the dilapidated complex and established a restaurant there. Called Kruydt, with a nod to the past.

Now you can enjoy tasty sandwiches at lunch and à la carte dining in the evening. Dutch Light was asked to add extra flavor with the light. For the atmosphere, a large part of the wooden beamed ceiling was maintained. In order to be able to create the necessary accents, a voltage rail with spots was chosen. Black and tough, like little cannons. The wall lights bring the walls to life. During the day daylight fills the space, at night the skimming light gives the rhythm. Above the large table, festive pendant lights set the tone. Playing with the possibilities, in consultation with the client, is what we like to do at Dutch Light. Tasteful viewing, that is why we say
